Apps / Combined Listings Swatch
Visual swatches for Shopify variants and combined products.
Render product options as image, color, card, button or text selectors, and link separate products into one visual picker. Works on product pages, collection cards and quick view.
Selector styles
Pick the right selector for each option.
Color belongs on a swatch. Size rarely does. Set the style per option and per surface instead of accepting one global look.
- Image swatchThe variant's own photo, at any radius — circle, rounded or square.
- RoundedThe same values, corners at 10px.
- SquareThe same values, corners at 2px.
- Custom swatchAn uploaded color or texture tile, where the photo is not the clearest signal.
- Swatch cardImage and value name together, for ranges where the label carries the weight.
- ButtonShort fixed sets — sizes, lengths, quantities. A sold-out value is struck through rather than hidden.
- DropdownA menu where a menu is right, styled to match the rest of the picker. Shown open.
- HiddenA selector suppressed on a surface, for internal options that should not reach shoppers. Nothing renders — that is the setting working.
- No selector rendered
Product pages and collection cards each take their own style, so a compact swatch row on the grid can sit alongside a full picker on the product page. Style your swatches
Combined listings
Link separate products into one picker.
Many catalogs keep each colorway as its own Shopify product, for photography, inventory, SEO or the 100-variant ceiling. A product group connects those products so every colorway appears in one selector, on every product in the group.
Five separate products, one picker
- Own URL
- Each product keeps its own page, images, price and inventory.
- Reversible
- Nothing is merged, renamed or deleted. Remove the group and the catalog is exactly as it was.
- Any plan
- Available on every Shopify plan, unlike Shopify's own Combined Listings.
- Any axis
- Group by whatever the products share: color, material, length, scent, bundle size.
Collection pages and quick view
Show the options before the shopper commits to a click.
A shopper scanning a collection grid cannot tell which products come in the color they want. Swatches on the card answer that in the grid itself.

Chore Jacket — Persimmon

Chore Jacket — Cobalt
- Collection cards
- A compact swatch row on the card, with its own style setting.
- Quick add and quick view
- The theme's modal gets the full picker and add to cart.
- Product gallery
- Switching a swatch can filter the gallery to that variant's media.
Setup
Three steps, in the admin and the theme editor.
Standard setup needs no Liquid and no code change to the theme.
- 01
Install from the Shopify App Store
The app detects the active theme and loads the configuration tested for it, or the generic configuration if the theme is not one of the 24.
- 02
Enable the blocks in the theme editor
Add the swatch block where the variant picker sits on the product page, and on the collection card if you want swatches in the grid.
- 03
Choose a style per option
Set image, color, card, button, dropdown or hidden for each option, set out-of-stock behavior, then create a product group for ranges that live as separate products.
Theme markup varies. If the automatic placement needs adjustment, send the store URL and support will review it.
